Every time I passed through the pearly gates of Dubai mall leading to the magical fountains, I saw social House. But due to some reason I don’t know why I never stepped in. During Ramadan, whilst I was checking for joints which were open, I chanced upon Social House being one of the joints open during the Holy month.
Grabbing this opportunity and coupled with Zomato Gold membership, I stepped in finally. Passing through the dark drapes, the place seemed quite lively and buzzing with hungry patrons. The use of wood and greenery made this place seemed quite relaxing and beautiful. We soon were lead to our table and our friendly waiter said that due to ramadan, their menu had been curtailed and only their best dishes were being served. We glanced through the menu and ordered chicken avocado pizza, Chicken alfredo pasta and Chicken Katsu curry.Our waiter was a bit surprised as she felt we had ordered quite a lot, but given our hunger pangs had reached the zenith, I thought otherwise. After an eternal wait, our food finally arrived. We immediately dug into our chicken and avocado pizza, which was just the way we liked it. Thin and crisp with tender pieces of chicken. The creamy alfredo pasta was lip smacking and we got it topped up with some extraaa parmesan cheese….simply divine!I was a bit skeptical about how the Katsu curry would shape up….but I was pleasantly surprised with the beautifully fried pieces of chicken topped with veggies loaded katsu curry sauce…HEAVEN!!!.
When our friendly server came to check on how the meal was, she was pleasantly surprised to find that we had wiped all the plates spotlessly clean. She tried offering us some desserts too, but given that we had over stuffed ourselves, we had simply no space left.
Social House hits all the right notes when it comes to food and ambience. Coupled with their friendly staff, the vibes of this place is definitely SOCIAL and makes you feel you are in your own HOUSE.
